- It all began with my full service interior design business. I found myself, in an effort to keep costs down for my clients, referring them to big box stores for furniture and decorative items. Eventually I had a crisis of conscience and knew I needed to make a change. So I decided to go out into the community to collect green resources-people and businesses committed to sustainability-with the intention of raising consciousness among my client base. It worked! After about a year my book was overflowing with new eco-friendly contacts and I was helping to spread the word. I felt a strong contribution to green education and supporting the local economy.
My passion didn’t end there. The muse hit me like a lightening bolt one day as I was preparing dinner. I wanted to create a place where eco-conscious living could effortlessly mingle with high design. I wanted to share the things that inspired me with the world. And so Planet PinknGreen was born.
Popularity continues to grow as more of us are now committed to learning about positive global changes and what we can do to help. I have now gone full time with the blog and continue to move around the globe with my laptop in one hand and a camera in the other.
