I have a few items I have discovered reuse for.
CEREAL BOX BAG LINERS make great sandwich bags. They can be washed and reused as they are pretty sturdy.
The MESH BAGS HOLDING ORANGES OR ONIONS from the grocery store can be reused as scrubbing cloths for vegetables, pots and pans or dirty sinks.
Parts of worn out RUBBER OR LATEX GLOVES can be reused as rubber bands. Cut 1/2" segments off the cuffs for use as rubber bands.
BOTTLE CAPS can be turned into fancy magnets. (Fill center of cap with a little glue and add glitter, glue ceramic disc magnet to back.) Or make a soap dish (arrange 8 caps top down on a piece of duct tape).
GREETING CARDS can be turned into recipe cards to hand out recipes to friends (cut and write recipe on blank side) or a magnetic frame for pictures on your refrigerater (cut a retangular frame window into decorative side of greeting card, glue sides together but leave space to slide pictures in and out, then atttach a magnet to the back (reuse those PROMOTIONAL MAGNETS)
TOILET PAPER ROLLS provide several craft projects for kids: binoculars (tape two together), bracelets (cut 1" segments then slice it crosswise so you have a cuff bracelet and decorate) napkin rings (cut 1"segments then decorate), snake (slide several rolls onto a string and secure ends of snake to string).
LAUNDRY DETERGENT CAPS make great sand castle molds.
PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES can be turned into bowling fun. Fill bottom of bottle with a little sand or something to weight the bottom slighlty and you have a bowling pin; all you need now is a ball. But I recommend you start phasing out your purchases of water bottles and start using the stainless steel variety now available.
